Why Book a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare Package

*I was gifted a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare package by Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel, but all opinions are my own, of course *

As we’re located in Iowa, Curtis and I usually fly out of Chicago O’Hare when traveling internationally because the flights are less expensive and usually a bit more direct. This is all well and good, but it means we’ve got a three-hour drive on either side of our international flight. Add to that parking, navigating our way to the correct terminal, and you’ve got a pretty stressful travel experience before you even get to the TSA security check.

A good friend just returned from a trip to Tokyo, and he did exactly the same thing, driving to O’Hare to save money on the flight. We were telling him about our annoyance with airport parking– the last time we parked at the airport for a long international trip, we were parked in the wrong lot and ended up paying way more for parking than we intended, quite a bummer at the end of a vacation! Our friend was surprised to hear we had never tried a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare package.

What is a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare Package?

Why You Should Book a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare Package

The perks of booking a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare Package for travelers, especially international travelers, are numerous!

Primarily, it’s so hassle-free. We simply parked at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel parking garage, took our parking ticket stub with us, and hopped on the airport shuttle at the hotel lobby. The complimentary airport shuttle picks up every 15 minutes and we were able to get right on. The driver dropped us right at our terminal, so no worries about navigating the trams and transport within O’Hare. We’re talking no costly ride-share, no confusion about where to go — this is stress-free travel at its finest!

Then it was off to Europe for the next couple of weeks for us — more on that to come, I promise! Watch this space.

The Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel

When we got back stateside after our trip we just hopped on another Loews shuttle, which took us and our backpacks safely back to the hotel for a quick and easy check-in.

Sometimes coming back after a fun and exciting trip can be a bit of a bummer, but we had something to look forward to in our stay with Loews. The Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, and the newly-designed guestrooms are gorgeous

We stayed in a King Deluxe room, which had a spacious living room with a flat-screen television, a sturdy desk and work-space, a coffee nook (crucial for me, you know!), and a half-bathroom. The bedroom had the coziest King-sized bed, a second flat-screen television, plenty of closet space, and a little reading nook where I polished off the last of my vacation reads.

But a highlight after a long day of flying was definitely the glamorous bathroom — ours had both a soaking tub and a rainforest-style shower. There’s little that’s more relaxing than getting off a flight and being able to wind down in a spa-like bathroom like this. We felt thoroughly refreshed after our stay with Loews.

Our Experience

Now that I’ve tried a Park, Stay, Fly O’Hare package, I know I won’t turn back to traveling the old way. To cap things off, we unfortunately must have left a light on in our car while we were parked in the hotel garage for several weeks, so our car battery was dead when we got back stateside. But the team at Loews gave us a jump and we were on the road the next morning in no time — I can’t imagine the headache of dealing with that same situation at the gigantic airport lot, so I’m very grateful!
