Pre-Loved Podcast: The Consistency Project

Today, I’m actually revisiting a guest I’ve had on the show previously, Natasha of The Consistency Project. Natasha and I originally recorded a Pre-Loved Podcast episode back in March 2020 — it aired on March 23rd, and I’ll link it in the shownotes because it’s still a great episode if you haven’t hear it.

But, as we all know, the spring of 2020 was a time of big changes — for all of us.

Let’s see if I can get this timeline right — Natasha opened a physical Brooklyn location for The Consistency Project, her vintage and upcycling sustainable fashion business in December 2019, just a couple months after having her first baby! Of course, less than four months later, the pandemic would force TCP to close their doors to the public.

When Natasha and I spoke on Pre-Loved Podcast last month, we all thought maybe the closures would be a temporary storm to ride. But by the time summer came around, Natasha made the difficult decision to close the physical space permanently, and actually move her family and TCP to Hawaii where she grew up.

We thought it would be really interesting to catch up and really realistic and helpful to hear the stories about making hard decisions to pivot in your business. The Consistency Project is still at it breaking the stigma of secondhand and reworking fashion. They’re just doing it in different ways.

I’m really, really excited for this episode, so let’s dive right in!
